teachsustainability.com.au has three simple functions:

1. LOAD-UP to submit teaching resources you have developed or found
2. LOOK-UP to search for and download sustainability education
3. LINK-UP to join our national network of over 1,000 school teachers and receive regular updates on education resources, weblinks and activities.

LOAD-UP: Submitting resources


  1. Click the ‘LOAD-UP' link on the left hand side of the page
  2. Select whether you are adding a weblink or a resource (eg electronic documents such as word files or pdf)
  3. Fill in the relevant fields (the more information you provide here the better). If you are the author of the resource, add your contact details.
  4. When adding a resource, click ‘NEXT’ to proceed to page where you upload your file.
  5. Attach the relevant files (e.g. your teaching and learning sequence and any handouts) and click 'SAVE'.

All resources are reviewed prior inclusion on the database. Resources submitted are not guaranteed for inclusion.

LOOK-UP: Finding resources


Retrieving or searching for resources is simple

  1. Select ‘LOOK-UP' on the left hand side of the page
  2. Either
  • Do an ‘open word search’ by entering your own keyword (eg organic). Then click the blue ‘search’ button.
  • Search using the existing keywords. Simply tick a box next to one or more of the existing keyword then click the blue ‘search’ button.
  • Search by other useful fields such as Key Learning Area, Stage or resource type. Select your field then click the blue ‘search’ button.
  • View all the resources currently on the website by clicking the blue ‘show all’ button.


Tips for searching

  • Make sure you scroll down the bottom of the page to see your results.
  • if nothing comes up in your search, try being more general in your search terms or use some of our existing search terms. We may not have exactly the resource you are looking for, but there might be something that is close or helpful.
