Support for teachers

by ben last modified 22-10-2007 15:51

Participating teachers recieve free support to help integrate the program with existing activities.

The Sustainable Living Challenge provides free teacher support enabling you to integrate sustainability challenges into your teaching as contexts for inquiry based learning. We provide this support in a variety of ways including:

Email network

The Sustainable Living Challenge Network or SLCnet is our expanding network of teachers from schools all over Australia. Through this network we offer a constant stream of ideas, news, research and sustainability tid-bits while also providing a medium for teachers to exchange ideas and ask for help directly.

Resource exchange

We spend a lot of time at the Sustainable Living Challenge researching, developing, archiving and talking about useful resources and tools that can be of assistance. You will find our key resources linked to this site and they are all stored in the new teachsustainability.com.au resource exchange. This is a free online resource hub that allows you to look up, link up and load up your favourite resource for the teaching community.

News items
We regularly update our website, providing news that is designed to assist you to engage your students in sustainability issues in a topical and interactive way. Check our news items regularly to find out about the latest tools and resources that might be useful to your classroom teaching. You can even bookmark our news page (it is an RSS feed) so that when it is time to program you can quickly access the range of ideas and integrate them in.
